Your Gift Makes a Difference

The Southwest Performing Arts Council believes in the power of the arts to inspire, transport and captivate our community. Over 350 students are enrolled in the performing arts. Whether it is a student in the dance program being able to express themselves fully for the first time, a group of friends getting to perform together at school and community events, or a young actor getting to take the leap and transporting an audience to another place on stage, these moving experiences are all made possible by your generosity.

Our teachers' salaries are the only part of the Southwest Performing Arts program funded by the school district. Everything else is paid for by your contributions.Our community donors and local business sponsors have helped us to purchase costumes, sheet music, choir robes, instruments, lessons, accompanists, and other necessities that are not funded by the school district's budget.

The Southwest Performing Arts Council works hard to maintain our school's tradition of excellence in the performing arts, but we are experiencing increased challenges as funding does not meet the current student needs.
